Welcome to the Community

The SFC Council & SFC Center
The Sneads Ferry Community Council (SFC Council) is a 501C4 non-profit organization led by dedicated volunteers for over fifty-four years with support from the Turkey Creek Fire Department District and surrounding areas to advance the civic, charitable, social, historic, educational and economic interests of its residents.
The Council produces the beloved Sneads Ferry Shrimp Festival, an annual event officially known as The NC Shrimp Festival, which is attended by locals and visitors from all over the country, and Christmas in the Ferry, which is a joyful family friendly event that kicks off the holiday season. Both events are hosted at the Sneads Ferry Community Center (SFC Center).
Throughout the year the Council also holds fundraising events to:
- Maintain the Center grounds and building
- Provide enrichment opportunities for our community, other charities and non-profits
- Fund scholarships to area students
We hold monthly open to the public meetings in the Center, 126 Park Lane, Sneads Ferry on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm (unless otherwise stated on our calendar). All are invited.
